baby steps

i made nick go on a brisk three mile walk with me on saturday. he's not happy with me. we're going to walk again tonight. happy me. well, we're going to go if this storm doesn't completely wipe out the rest of the day. wish us luck.

i had a lot of good conversations with jj about weight and whatnot while we were out in utah. just being with her makes me want to be a better version of me. and i learned i can't conquer the self-deprecation streak that runs through me...the jokes are just too easy. but still, need to work on it. anyhoo. here's to a better month, year, decade. life is good and i can be better. i will be better. i will not be embarrassed to walk into a room anymore, or to have my picture taken, or to have my husband give me a hug without worrying about the "girth" of myself. life is better each and every day...especially now that i'm feeling better.
okay, so i have an appt. with dr donner in 5 months, europe in 6 months and somewhere in there i want to run a half-marathon. i need to lose twenty pounds to even think about training for half-marathon - so, we'll see. but that's my new goal. i want to be a kind-of-new-woman by the time may rolls around. i want dr. donner to see the person i normally am, not this new version of myself - which is the only version he's ever known. anyhoo, here's the lowdown...

walked 2 miles (very brisk) last night while pushing 100 lbs of kids and strollers
eggs and toast for dinner with oj

plan on walking again tonight - 3 miles
ab ball video and 20 minute yoga
asian chicken, rice and salad

okay weekend...the holiday of candy was upon us. but we fared well.
today, need to exercise with nick and be good with food.
need to cut and wash lettuce and dice tomatoes and have a huge salad.
my tummy needs a huge salad.
and my goal for the week is to go to swim class the next four days.
we'll see.

food: not so good. ate all the good basics i was supposed to for breakfast and dinner. but richard showed up at our meeting with churros for kiley, the kids and myself. evil. i love costco churros. sigh. and then i had two too many 60 calorie pudding cups and no exercise (muscle fatigue and tetany)...but the bright side of all of this - i could have a done a lot more damage than i did. over and out. bb

my day at a glance

food: luna bar and banana, hot-pocket-diet thingy and carrot sticks, luna bar, banana, bbq chicken, rice and broccoli, halloween snack package of m&m's and lots and lots of water

exercise: tony horton cardio video (prepping for P-90x) 45 minutes

not going to start swimming this week due to starting cardio videos and getting behind on calcium - do not want to cause a crisis.

all in all - an awesome day. excited to meet with JC lady tomorrow. she's motivating and awesome. bb
